Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks is a big deal in African American history and just history itself. She helped us not to be forced to sit in the back of the bus. She was an African-American civil rights activist, whom the U.S. Congress called "the first lady of civil rights", and "the mother of the freedom movement". She made it easy for black people to have transportation. She refused to give her seat up on the bus for a white person and the driver pulled the police on her and she got arrested. Parks' act of defiance became an important symbol of the modern Civil Rights Movement and Parks became an international icon of resistance to racial segregation. She got arrested many times. Including herself and Martin Luther King Jr. they fought for this right. They won and from then on black people didn't to be told where to sit anymore. They could sit where ever we want for any where. This has made such a big difference. If that didn't happen then we would be on the back of the bus and we still would have segregation. Rosa is a reason why we should be grateful for African Americans fought for our rights. I'm telling you that life wouldn't be the same if people like Rosa Parks didn't stand up for what she believed in and put her life on the line. She live a very long, generous, loving, and hard working life. She lived long and did great things that affect a race for the good of it. She is an amazing person that reminds me why I am here and where I am in life. Also how I want to live my life.
